It is indeed a new day when the academy members vote "It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp" best original song. Gotta love it. And nominating Brokeback Mountain for best picture could not have happened even 5 years ago. What the hell was Morgan Freeman thinking? He looked like he just rolled off his living room sofa to taxi on over to the show. Dude, it was a black tie affair. That mean you gots to wear a tie! Anyway, I like the Independent Spirit awards better. Everyone gets to eat and drink and dress however they want. And they say exactly what is on their minds. Tune in next time. It's a hoot.

What did people do

before medicine? Can you imagine what it was like to have a migraine back in the 1700s? Or diarrhea? Or hot flashes and mood swings? Imagine what it would be like to have heartburn and not be able to pop a Tums. I am grateful to modern medicine. I am grateful that I was born after the invention of electricity, television, automobiles and movies. Take the time to list everything you are grateful for. It's good for you.
